Mullite, Alumina and Silicon Carbide Protection Tubes are Used in Many Diversified Industries
The advantages of these protection tubes are resistance to high temperatures, and thermal shock. Also, they have good abrasion resistance, high dielectric strength and chemical inertness. The use of alumina protection tubes are primarily to protect noble metal thermocouples, such as platinum, rhodium and tungsten/rhenium. Standard protection tube lengths in stock: 12", 18", 24", 30", 36". Available in lengths of 42", 48" and 60".
EXAMPLE: To order a 7/16 x 11/16 Alumina Protection Tube 24" Long with a Mounting Fitting - W33F-A-24"
All mounting fittings are carbon steel, stainless steel upon request. Standard tube materials are Mullite and 99.7% alumina.
